Mara is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management. She is currently attending the University of North Florida where she is working on her Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (DCN). As a graduate research assistant, she has contributed to the Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Research Project at UNF evaluating the effectiveness of telehealth nutrition counseling for under insured individiauls with type 2 diabetes, obesity or hypertension.
