Dr. Stephanie Wilson is a Nutrition Scientist with the USDA ARS Western Human Nutrition Research Center and the Texas A&M Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture. Dr. Wilson's work as a postdoctoral researcher delves into the assessment of dietary polyphenolic intake and the relationship between dietary polyphenols, the gut microbiota, and health outcomes. Her work includes leveraging fine-scale food composition data in machine learning models to predict microbiome-mediated health effects. Her abstract, "Dietary Intake and Food Contributors of Polyphenols in Healthy U.S. Adults: An Application of the FooDB Database" was selected for an oral presentation (Big Data and Omics in Bioactives Research) and as a finalist for the Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science Poster Competition (Dietary Bioactives).
