Peter is a PhD student in the department of rehabiltiation sciences at New York Univeristy, and he is also a full-time research dietitian at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Peter's research centers around interdisciplinary prehabilitation and rehabilitation of patients receiving treatment for hematologic malignancies. Peter uses a biopsychosocial framework to inform his approach to developing nutrition, physical function, and mental health intervention strategies. He also conducts work on the relationship betweeen dietary choices and the gastrointestinal microbiome as a potential target for nutrition-focused interventions in hematologic malignancies and other cancer treatment systems.
