Dr Elizabeth Dunford is a Project Consultant in Food Policy for The George Institute for Global Health and holds appointments at both the University of New South Wales in Australia and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She is one of the inventors of the FoodSwitch smartphone application which to date has more than 1 million downloads in more than 8 countries. Her reesarch interests lie in monitoring the healthiness of the global packaged food supply and the use of nutrient profiling models to better understand what is in the foods we eat. Dr Dunford has published more than 90 peer-reviewed journal articles as well as multiple commissioned policy documents for the World Health Organization, Access to Nutrition Initiative and Unicef.
