Dr. Ginny Lane is a registered dietitian; assistant professor with the Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences, University of Idaho; and adjunct professor with the School of Public Health, University of Saskatchewan. She has worked in a variety of community development, government, and health system settings. She is currently engaged in research concerning food security in Guatemala, diabetes among Canada’s First Nations, and children’s growth and development in Saskatchewan. Her research interests include sustainable development, food security, chronic diseases, disabilities, and health promotion with a focus on children, seniors, and marginalized populations.
