David Turner is an Associate Professor at the Massey Cancer Center located at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia and President of the non-profit Anti-A.G.E. Foundation. His strong British accent was homed growing up in the North of England where he completed his Honors Science Degree in Molecular Biology and Doctorate in Biochemistry at the University of Newcastle. His passions are his family including his two dogs, one cat and a hamster, and striving to make a difference in the world. His research on advanced glycation end products (AGEs) reflects his total commitment to making the world “AGE aware”. His mantra is “I want to allow everybody to make more informed decisions regarding the foods their families and pet companions consume each day in order to allow them to live a longer life free of incapacitating disease for as long as possible”. David single-mindedly believes that “multi-disciplinary translational research involving basic, population, pre-clinical and clinical studies are urgently required if we are to fully understand the effects of nutrition and lifestyle on quality of life and longevity.
