Fan Chen is a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) candidate in Epidemiology, advised by Dr. Katherine L. Tucker at UMass Lowell. Fan is an experienced health science researcher with a strong background in nutrition, cognitive aging, epidemiology, and biostatistics. She obtained her MS/MPH degrees from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University and served as a Data Scientist at the Marcus Institute for Aging Research for 3 years. With expertise in quantitative data analysis, data management, statistical modeling, data visualization and interpretation, as well as study design in health science fields, she excels in various aspects of research. Her current research focuses on investigating the impact of nutrition on cognition, brain aging, depression, and sleep quality in the Boston Puerto Rican Health Study.
