PERSONAL STATEMENT
I have been interested in the study of the nutritional status and immune system in the states of health and disease. Alterations of the nutritional status and the function of the immune system are central problems to the most prevalent diseases such as infectious diseases and chronic diseases. We focus in the study of “the gut brain axis (GBA)” as an important component of the indicated malnutrition entities. Our technical expertise includes: translational research that includes pre- and clinical-studies (cardiometabolic and infectious diseases, cell culture, biochemistry analysis, molecular biology analysis, laboratory animal science, and computer skills).
