Zelei Miao is a post-doc at the School of Life Sciences, Westlake University, Hangzhou, China. Zelei finished her Ph.D in Zhejing University, Hangzhou, China (2018-2022) and received her M.P.H. from University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia (2017-2018) and her B.S. from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China (2012-2016). Zelei’s research has focused on the role of polyunsaturated fatty acids biomarkers in prevention of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. In particular, she aims to investigate the interaction between polyunsaturated fatty acids, gut microbiome, and host genetics on type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases using multi-omics data (e.g., genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and metagenomics).
