Postdoctoral Fellow
Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School
Brandon Gheller, PhD, completed his undergraduate and dietetic training at Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia where his research centered on understanding the physiological response to food intake. Brandon completed his doctoral training with Dr. Anna Thalacker-Mercer in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University studying how nutritional interventions could improve the function of muscle stem cells and therefore skeletal muscle regeneration in aged individuals. Currently, Brandon is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Prevent Cancer Foundation postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Leonard Zon at the Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His current research focuses on identifying and leveraging metabolic vulnerabilities in aged hematopoietic stem cells to improve their function and reduce age-related hematological malignancies.
