Assistant Professor
The Ohio State University
Dr. Jennifer Garner is a Registered Dietitian and Assistant Professor of Food and Nutrition Policy at Ohio State University. She has dual appointment in the College of Medicine’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Science and the John Glenn College of Public Affair, and was hired via Ohio State’s Initiative for AgriCultural Transformation to conduct research at the nexus of our food system, diet, health, and policy. Leveraging both secondary data and prospective mixed method study designs, Dr. Garner studies the causes and consequences of food insecurity. Much of her work is focused on evaluating community-based interventions designed to improve healthy food access and community food security, and on analyses that may inform the design and targeting of such interventions.
