Michael Wenger is a cognitive neuroscientist who works on a variety of questions in nutritional neuroscience, visual perception, attention, and cognition.
Research interests include the effects of variations in iron status on perception, attention, and cognition in women of reproductive age and women at the menopausal transition; cancer-treatment related cognitive impairment ("chemo brain"); visual perceptual learning; and visual perceptual organization.
Dr. Wenger is also investigating the extent to which being low in iron acts as an additional burden for women who are attempting to quit smoking.
