Registered Dietitian, Predoctoral Fellow

Andrea is a registered dietitian, chef, and predoctoral fellow at NIDDK. Prior to pursuing a doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences at University of Florida, Andrea received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Nutrition and in Kinesiology at Texas A&M University. To support interests in integrating dietetics, lifestyle behavior research, and culinary nutrition, she completed culinary training through Rouxbe Cooking School, followed by her dietetic internship through The Ohio State University. Her doctoral research focused on the effects of dietary, culinary medicine, and teaching kitchen interventions on cardiometabolic, psychological, and dietary outcomes.
