Emily Sklar is a Ph.D. student at the University of California Davis in the Graduate Group in Nutritional Biology. Her research interests are closely linked to her passion for advocacy and community service. Emily's research interests include clinical and community nutritional health; and how the long-term effects of nutrition deficits correlate to human health and chronic disease. She has been awarded multiple fellowships for her research efforts and is currently a UC Office of the President Global Food Initiative Ambassador.
