Nikolai Kolba is a Ph.D. candidate working with Dr. Elad Tako at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He earned his BS degree in Biochemistry in 2013 from Widener University and an MS in Biological Sciences in 2015 at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. His research at Cornell focuses on necrotizing enterocolitis, a neonatal disease that causes necrosis of the small intestine. Nikolai has recently published work in Nutrients and Food Chemical Toxicology. Before joining Cornell, Nikolai was a United States Department of Agriculture- Agricultural Research Service technician.
