Gwen received her bachelors of science degree in Mathematics from the University of Idaho. She recently completed her Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University. She is an associate in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health working with proteomic biomarkers for predicting maternal and child micronutrient deficiencies. Her particular interests lie in transition metals and minerals- copper, zinc and iron.
