Alex Baldeon is a Ph.D. candidate in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his BS in Biology at Denison University before moving to Boston where he worked on various pre-clinical and clinical research projects at MIT & Harvard teaching hospitals. He is ecstatic to be back in this city for Nutrition 2023. Advised by Dr. Hannah Holscher, his dissertation research investigates the impact of almond consumption on the human gastrointestinal microbiome and human health by analyzing multi-omics data generated from a randomized clinical trial by the USDA.
