From the rural town of Waco, Georgia, Wesley Grace has enrolled at Georgia State University, majoring in Nutrition Science, and is expected to graduate in May of 2025. Wesley has become involved with research through the Feresin Lab, where he uses animal models to study berry polyphenols and their effects on oxidative stress. He has also served as a general chemistry tutor and mathematics teaching assistant at Georgia State. Wesley was recently selected to receive the Maximizing Access to Research Careers Fellowship, an NIH-funded award that supports two years of research and prepares students for biomedical research careers. After graduating college, he plans to attend a Ph.D. program in the biomedical sciences and pursue a career in academia. Outside of school and research, Wesley enjoys playing chess and exercising.
