Melissa Moreno is a masters student at the University of Florida in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. Preceding this, she received a Bachelor of Science in 2020 double majoring in biology and nutritional sciences also from the University of Florida. During her graduate studies, she worked on a feasibility study with Trigeminal Neuralgia patients to help reduce facial pain with an extra virgin olive oil enriched diet. Melissa’s research interests are nutrition and metabolism amongst various diseases which she will continue pursuing during her PhD program.
