Lauren Louck is a fourth-year graduate student at Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She graduated with her M.S. in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition, with a concentration in Data Science in May 2021. She continued on to the Biochemical and Molecular PhD program at the Tufts Friedman School, and received both the Stanley N. Gershoff Scholarship and Lynne Ausman Scholarship for Interdisciplinary Studies. Lauren’s current research focuses on the intersection of biochemical nutrition and data science. She is skilled in utilizing statistical techniques and programming languages including R, Python and MySQL to analyze, manage and create large databases. Her PhD thesis investigates disruptions of co-development of the gut microbiome and host in Guatemalan infants, regarding diet diversity, early child development, and growth.
