Ezgi received a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. After spending 6 months working as a dietitian in a clinic in Turkey, Ezgi joined an MSc course in Food and Nutritional sciences at the University of Reading and then completed her PhD in Human Nutrition after being awarded a scholarship by the Turkish government. Currently, she is working as a postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Reading. Her research interests include investigation of the nutritional influences on obesity and cardiovascular disease risk, including nutrient-gene interaction and the role of food and diet on appetite.
