My research interests lie in maternal and child health, with much of my research focused on human lactation and breast milk composition. I use epidemiological studies to examine breastfeeding practices, the factors affecting milk composition, with an aim to understand how breastfeeding and milk composition affect maternal and child health across the lifespan. I am currently leading efforts in the human lactation working group in the Global Centre for Asian Women's Health (GloW) https://www.glownus.org/.
