Dr. Yu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a Ph.D. in Obstetrics & Gynecology, and now is a research fellow of the Global Centre of Asian Women's Health, National University of Singapore. He is broadly interested in environmental pollutants, dietary patterns, and metabolic health. His works focus on 1) the health effects of environmental chemical exposure and nutrition patterns during pregnancy, particularly their combined effects on glucolipid metabolism, and 2) the molecular mechanism of environmental exposure contributing to diabetes using the omics technique. Dr. Yu is currently leading the omics working group (metabolome, microbiome).
