Dr. Leanne Redman is a Professor of Clinical Science and Associate Executive Director for Scientific Education at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. The goal of her research is to understand the intergenerational transmission of obesity and to promote healthy aging across the lifespan. She is well-known for her involvement in the CALERIE trial and most recently for her work in pregnant women and infants and now the Nutrition for Precision Health consortium. She also is known to many as being an inspirational, thoughtful, and enthusiastic mentor and in 2018 she was named the National Postdoctoral Association, Garnett-Powers & Associates, Inc. Mentor of the Year. She has published more than 200 works on nutrition, exercise, pregnancy and healthy aging.
