Principal Investigator
BHNRC, ARS, USDA
Dr. Park is a principal/lead investigator at ARS, USDA. His research focuses on allied research approaches; archiving a compressive bioactive and drug database, synthesizing natural/synthetic therapeutic compounds using in silico molecular modeling as well as investigating their efficacy in vitro and in vivo, related to several human diseases such as inflammation, fatty liver diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Park can make a fast-track discovery of bioactive/therapeutic agents as well as evaluation of their effects in vitro and in vivo using his specific expertise (Currently, Dr. Park synthesized more than 300 compounds for testing; see below for details). Dr. Park has great knowledge and expertise in compound isolation, chemical synthesis, therapeutic compound database, in silico molecular modeling, molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry, enough for successfully accomplishing therapeutic development projects in the realm of his expertise. See below for Dr. Park's research interest details.
