Ashi Khare is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India. Her work focuses on providing community specific food-based solutions to the issue of nutritional anemia which is a major public health concern in various developing nations, specially among women. This may help towards developing and providing an alternative approach to tackle the issue, along with the government policies implementing supplementation and fortification strategies. Ashi holds a Master's in Biotechnology. Her research interests lie in public health nutrition, food and gut health.
