Alysha L Deslippe is a current doctoral student at the Univeristy of British Columbia (UBC). Her research seeks to understand how biological sex and gender impact adolescents' dietary habits to aid in the devleopment of more inclusive food programs and policy. Alysha relies on mixed methods, particiaptory researh in her projects to support the development, implementation and evaluation of food programs that actually meet end user needs. She has dedidcated her career to seeing a day when adolescents make food related decisions based upon health, well-being or energy needs instead of gender norms.
