Nutrition Evidence Analyst

Sara has earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Ohio Weslyean University and a Master's degree in Nutrition Interventions, Communication, and Behavior Change from the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She is currently a member of the USDA's Nutrition Evidence Systematic Review (NESR) team, the research synthesis and review component of the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP). The NESR team conducts systematic reviews to inform federal food and nutrition policies and programs like the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, nutrition education initiatives, and nutrition assistance programs. She is also pursuing her Registered Dietitian certification, and has valuable experience in evidence synthesis, qualitative and quantitative research, program coordination, food education, and dietary assessment. She is passionate about improving quality of life through evidence-based nutrition information and education.
