Research Assistant Professor
Emory University, Rollins School of Public Health
Atlanta, Georgia, United States
I am a public health researcher who investigates the origins of disparities in cardiovascular health among children and adolescents from low-income and racially or ethnically diverse families. I am interested in better understanding the causal pathways through which risk factors and inequalities impact health, and how resilience can buffer the toxic effects of adversity and contribute to reduce risks for obesity and cardiovascular disease.
I am an experienced qualitative and quantitative researcher with training in both and mixed methods research; skilled and experienced in data collection, community health, Spanish translations, and bilingual survey research. I am also passionate about public health, I love mentoring, specially motivated minority students or junior researchers whom like me, are working towards bridging gaps in healthcare.
