With a deep passion for addressing the high prevalence of anaemia among vulnerable populations, especially infants, my unwavering dedication is directed towards making a meaningful impact on global nutrition and health outcomes. I am pursuing a joint PhD between Wageningen University and Medical Research Council Unit, The Gambia at LSHTM. My research focuses on intervention trials to improve anaemia. I am also exploring strategies to circumvent hepcidin-mediated blockage of iron absorption due to infection and inflammation
