I am Alana Chaney, a PhD student in the nutritional biology program at University of California, Davis. I obtained my bachelor’s in biology and master’s in biotechnology at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, GA. At UC Davis I work under the mentorship of Dr. Lauren Au and my research interests include maternal and child nutrition, nutrition security strategies in low-income populations, community nutrition program development and evaluation, and nutrition intervention programs.
