Dr. Emily Flanagan received her PhD from the University of Miami in 2019. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Pennington Biomedical Research Center in the Reproductive Endocrinology and Women's Health Laboratory. Dr. Flanagan's is focused on discovering the developmental origins of energy balance. Her research on energy intake and expenditure during pregnancy and in neonates hopes to elucidate the intergenerational transmission of obesity and metabolic disease. She currently has an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship to study neonatal energy expenditure.
