Kate Killion is a doctoral student and Registered Dietitian studying Health Promotion Sciences at the University of Connecticut. Kate's research focuses on socioecological determinants of nutritional status among young children. Her recent work assesses how caregiver definitions of child snacks, responsive feeding, and the food environment may influence food liking and diet quality among children under 6. As part of this research, Kate manages an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation funded project which aims to refine a digital health intervention for caregivers of young children.
