Yakima Vogtschmidt is a PhD candidate at the Hugh Sinclair Unit of Human Nutrition and Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health, University of Reading (UK). Her PhD project comprises studies on the impact of substituting one food for another, on the dietary intake level of saturated fatty acids and protein, on cardiovascular disease risk in large UK population-based cohorts. Yakima obtained a bachelor degree in Health Sciences from Maastricht University and a master degree in Epidemiology and Public Health from Wageningen University (the Netherlands). In 2018, she received a PhD scholarship from Rank Prize Funds to carry out her research projects at the University of Reading.
