Ms. Kazi Sarjana Safain is an accomplished researcher specializing in cellular and molecular biology. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Cellular and Molecular Biology at North Dakota State University, she has made exceptional contributions to the field. Her current research focuses on maternal nutrition and developmental programming in beef cattle. With a master's degree in biotechnology and a bachelor's degree in microbiology, Sarjana possesses a strong academic foundation. Her works have been published in different PubMed-indexed journals, including two first-authored articles, and she has presented her research at scientific conferences. She has received recognition as a finalist for the 'Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science Poster Competition' by the American Society for Nutrition. Sarjana's commitment to academic excellence is evidenced by her receipt of various scholarships and fellowships including “An MS fellowship from The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS)”. Moreover, she actively contributes to the scientific community as an associate editor and reviewer for Web of Science-indexed journals.
In addition to her research accomplishments, Sarjana has gained valuable experience as a research assistant, senior research officer, and research fellow in different labs. Notably, she was a core member of the team who developed the first Covid-19 RT-PCR kit in Bangladesh. She demonstrates a deep dedication to academic service through her appointment as a Graduate Dean's representative at the Graduate Council of North Dakota State University and her active involvement in professional journals. With a remarkable track record of research, publications, and academic achievements, she is well-positioned to continue making significant contributions to the research field.
