Naina Qayyum is a first-year Ph.D. student at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. Previously, she worked on the global policy and advocacy team at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), supporting its involvement in the UN Food Systems Summit and a global youth campaign on food systems transformation. She also worked at the Ministry of Food Security and Research through the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Pakistan, providing information management and data analysis support. Her research interests are maternal and child nutrition, adolescent food experiences, and inequity issues in food environments. She earned her bachelor’s in economics and global health from Middlebury College and her master's in global affairs from Tsinghua University, China.
